Fun Revamping Leftover Soba Lunch!

Great art & cute concept doesn't make up for disproportionate ratio of noodles to shrimp! I brought home enough soba for 2 more lunches! Crazy. All carbs & not enough protein makes us cranky! Gotta have good balance. So, for today's lunch, I added shredded ready roast chicken & leftover veggies, revved up with Huy Fong chili sauce, side of my home made kimchi, now we're talking!

Char siu ramen noodle soup, not bad.

2 shrimp tempura soba noodle soup, not worth $11!! Why served in a tacky mixing bowl? Did they run out of serving bowls? Not a fan of veggie mix.

Norwegian Cruise Line Freestyle: honeymoon revisited

Our Tweetup on NCL Epic brought back fabulous memories of our honeymoon! It was a lot of fun to meet local Tweeters and tear through the cruise ship. Supposedly equivalent to 3 football fields!!! So glad I had comfy sneakers.

Well, I took hundreds of photos, hence it's taken me a while to figure how to post these. It'll be a series, starting with guess what? FOOD! And they have 19 options! Bit more than when we did our cruise and it's FREESTYLE, meaning you don't have to dress or sit with the same folks everynight, woohoo!

I was so excited to see they had 3 Asian themed restaurants. Too bad we didn't get to have lunch there. The decor looked very glamorous. Why can't we have some like that on land in Miami? Even had a noodle restaurant, I want.

Sakaya's Dae Ji Pork Tenderloin, Coconut Rice, Buttered Broccoli

Sakaya is perfect Eats before an Art Walk! Right slap between Wynwood & Design District. Uh, I know they have the food trucks at Wynwood but we decided to sit down, personal choice.

Fast but oh so good. The sauce from the pork tenderloin was perfectly balanced, slightly sour, spicy & little sweet, topped with sprinkles of peanuts for crunch. We don't usually even eat white rice but when it's coconut rice, well, you can't stop, so addictive.

If you've not been here, you're seriously missing some of the best fresh Asian food, enjoy.

Sakaya's Crispy Duck Herb Sandwich

YUM!!! Duck as you all know is one of my favs! Gotta eat when you've had wine, the dainty bites at the Ribera tasting wasn't enough. This hit the spot! I love Sakaya, good food, so convenient, easy to drop in on route. I nearly always see someone I know. Chef Richard Hales & Sandy Shapiro, AIWF came over for catchup.

A day on South Beach

Img_0798

Finally tried Shake Shack's burger to see what all the fuss was about. Nothing special, good price for South Beach.

I love walking along Lincoln Rd Mall in South Beach, it's my favorite hangout, it never gets old. Always full of activity, energy and vibe. I can't wait to move there, goal is end of this year.

While the rest of the country is covered in snow, we are having gorgeous weather! Thankful.

I got a nice compliment from my hubby who mentioned I had a good eye and composition with my photos, made me smile. He especially liked this one with the ground cover and trunks going up.

Don't know whether you can see, 3 little turtles 'sunning' themselves at the pond's ledge.
Can't believe mother let her kids touch the turtle which scared it off. This New Year's resolution is to stop and smell the roses!  Well, observing & capturing my surroundings and its natural beauty made me really appreciate being outdoors.

Last stop was getting granola, folks, this may be 'healthy' but notice the BIG difference in 'sugar content'! 15 grams vs 6 grams (I get Honey Gone Nuts). I sprinkle over our fruit and yoghurt and my steel cut oatmeal for breakfast.
