New Breakfast Additions, Some Good, Some Uh?

Dr. Oz mentioned hemp seeds was even better than flax seeds! Yeah, but mucho more moola! Think I'll stick to Flax seeds. Tip is to only grind the amount you want to eat fresh. This provides its full nutritional & optimum value.

Coconut milk has no sugar so I was immediately interested in this. Both soy and almond milk have high sugar content. I wish I could've tried some before purchasing this huge carton! Well, not a fan of texture and doesn't taste of coconut at all? Isn't the point of eating is to enjoy? Steel cut oats, coconut milk, fresh fruit, protein powder, roasted almonds, hit of granola.

It's so much fun adding different goodies to my steel cut oats for breakfast. Here are some musts: protein powder (helps to balance carbs of oats), walnuts & sprinkle of granola for crunch, dollop of Cabots low fat Greek yoghurt, almond milk, variety of fresh fruit. Put your goodies in jars so it's easy & convenient! Enjoy.

Healthy Breakfast, Miami Beach weather

My sister and hubby are enjoying gorgeous weather & eating breakfast on our balcony. Steel cut oatmeal with fresh ground flax seed and topped with protein powder. Then added fresh fruit, walnuts, cranberries, yoghurt, organic honey & granola. There was also good fresh baked bread they brought from Asheville! Of course, they adored Freakin' Flamingo's Bluberry Mojito jam! I hope they don't eat too much, it's my last jar!
